Checkout Form Path
If you use the Lunixi payment form (Checkout Form), you can offer your buyer insurance inside the form. The buyer selects insurance in the form; the price of the product and the insurance premium are taken in a single charge.
On this path you make no separate API call for insurance. You do the following:
- Connect your provider in the panel.
- In the Insurance menu, turn insurance on with the Checkout form usage mode and choose the type to offer.
- In your form settings, choose where insurance appears in the form.
- Add the insurance fields to your basket items when you create the payment.

What the buyer sees
Your form settings determine where insurance appears in the form. There are two places; you can turn them on separately or together.

When both places are on, they show the same offers and there is a single selection: insurance added on the Insurance tab appears ticked at the payment step; insurance removed at the payment step is removed from the tab as well.
Offer card
Each offer the buyer sees contains:
- the offer name and the premium amount
- the coverage summary (the first items; "Show more" opens the rest)
- the terms version
- a consent box: the buyer confirms that they accept the terms of the offer and consent to their details being shared with the insurance provider for the insurance
The names and logos of the provider and the insurer are not shown in the form; the insurer appears on the policy. You do not enter the text or terms of the offer card; they come from the quote.
Total amount
When the buyer adds insurance, the amounts in the form are updated:

The pay button and the amount in the form header also show the total including the premium. If the buyer removes the insurance, the amount returns to the amount of your payment.
Flow
Insurance is resolved from the basket
When the form opens, the insurance types that can be offered to the buyer are resolved from the insurance fields in your payment's basket items. If no insurance can be offered, the form shows no insurance at all.
The buyer fills in the details and gets a quote
The buyer fills in the details the insurance type requires for the quote and the policy, and gets a quote. The schema of the type lists which details are required: Insurance Types and Schemas.
If you sent these details in the basket item, the buyer fills in only the missing ones; if everything the quote and the policy need is there, the quote is obtained on its own when the form opens: Behavior Rules › Pre-filled details.
The buyer selects the offer
Insurance is never preselected. The buyer ticks the consent box and adds the insurance.
The buyer submits the payment
If insurance is selected, the selection is verified again when the payment is submitted, and the premium is added to the payment as a separate item. The product and the insurance are paid in a single charge: Payment and Premium.
The policy is issued
The policy is issued after the premium is collected. The statuses of the order: Concepts and Statuses.
Result screen
- If the payment succeeds inside the form, the success screen tells the buyer that the insurance was taken with the payment and that their policy is being prepared.
- In a payment with 3D verification, the buyer returns to your
callbackUrlafter the bank's verification screen. In that case your page shows the result to your buyer; see Card Payment — 3D Secure › The signed POST to your result page.
When the form shows no insurance
In the following cases the form shows no insurance at all and the payment proceeds as usual:
- Both display options are off in your form settings.
- You have no active insurance connection, or no product enabled on the connection.
- Your basket items carry no insurance fields, or the items are not eligible for insurance.
- You use the form only as a card field (Card Field). The card field shows no insurance.
